End the Backlog
Sexual assault survivors can now track their rape kits in most states
Alaska, Colorado, Florida and Louisiana are some the latest states to establish or commit to building sexual assault kit tracking systems. This follows a growing trend of states offering similar tracking databases or online services. This kind of tracking aims to promote accountability and transparency, and in some states like North Carolina, processing backlogs are more easily identified and addressed. At least 40 states and the District of Columbia have committed to establishing a rape kit tracking system.
